I setup a Tracks site running the newly released version 2.0. It’s configured for open sign ups in case anyone wants to try it out.
The site is at http://tracks.smajn.net/signup.
Update 5/27/2011
I enabled the email feature today, if you configure your From address in your profile, you can send an email to tracks AT smajn.net and it will be added to the context you specified in your profile.
Email is checked every 15 minutes so be patient if you don’t see an item appear right away.
Update 5/26/2011
I broke the site for a few minutes today in order to configure deployment with Capistrano. With easier deployment, I’ll be able to deal with minor tweaks and such much more effectively without having too much downtime in the future.
great to see a 2.0 tracks host out there.
I have been enjoying tracks.tra.in and it’s been rock solid so far. however, it’s disturbing to see no news items past 2010 on both tracks.tra.in and gtdify.
tracks doesn’t have an import feature yet though right? I guess most people host it themselves at this stage otherwise it would be more essential. anyway, I’m wondering if there’s a way I can copy everything from my existing tracks over to yours? exporting seems fine but then importing is nowhere.
I’m balking at the idea of doing it all manually – or somewhow using the API to post it all up from a script walking through the exported file? (not relishing that but a good learning to script exersise I guess!)
anyway, great to see your sit eup there and will use it once I figure out how best to migrate there.
thanks,
Rod.
I’ve sent you an email regarding this.
Matt,
I’d like to do the exact same thing! Could you please send me an email as well on how to export from tracks.tra.in into tracks.smajnr.net? Also, is there a way to set up a email address to receive my ‘to-do’s via email and post them in my Tracks? tracks.tra.in had that available at https://tracks.tra.in/sms/. Thank you for providing this service!
Send me an email via the “Site Admin” link at the bottom of the tracks page.
Are there any plans to update to 2.2? It has an improved mobile site!
It really depends on how much work it will take. I would like to upgrade to 2.2 when it’s released, but I’ll have to wait and see how that goes.
